PACT Zollverein Festival Centre

Situated at the centre of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zollverein, PACT’s foyer is the ideal location to meet people and relax during the Dance Platform.

Here you will also find a range of accompanying activities such as yoga classes or can learn more about the diverse dance scene in Germany’s largest federal state North Rhine-Westphalia.

PACT Zollverein

Since it was founded in 2002, PACT Zollverein has clearly positioned itself as an initiator, catalyst and venue for seminal developments in the fields of dance, performance, theatre, media and art at the interface of science, technology and society.

Zeche Zollverein

The Zollverein colliery, formerly the largest coal mine in the world, Europe’s largest central coking plant and since 2001, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a masterpiece of industrial architecture and a completely preserved work of art.

Kokerei Zollverein

The Zollverein coking plant was built between 1957 and 1961 adjacent to the Zollverein colliery. From around 11,000 tons of coal, the plant could produce approximately 8,500 tons of coke per day.
