Current academic discourse on dance is diverse, ranging from observations of current developments in state ballet companies, the independent scene or research on the body in motion. In the run-up to the Dance Platform 2018, this expansive field is being traversed in several seminars, workshops and practical discourses at universities across Germany.
 

The focus of these takes orientation from the question of how discourse may approach dance as a temporary phenomenon. Five universities have developed a range of projects which their students may take part in during the semester. In March, these student groups will then meet at the Dance Platform for an in-depth exchange.
